Bridging Nature, Technology, and Education
In the digital era, where screen time is a significant part of children's lives, striking the right balance is crucial. Sky Farm Island a virtual gardening and farming game on Roblox, harnesses the power of digital play to educate and inspire young minds about the wonders of nature and the importance of sustainable urban farming.
-
Sky Farm Island is not just a game; it's a learning platform. Here, children can build and manage their own vertical farm, employing hydroponics and aquaponics to cultivate crops without soil. The interactive gameplay aims to develop a healthy interest in eating Asian fruits and vegetables and inspire a love of gardening.

Parents looking to engage with their children in meaningful screen time will find Sky Farm Island a perfect blend of fun and learning. It offers opportunities for parent-child co-viewing and interaction, where families can learn together about eco-friendly farming practices, problem- solving, creative thinking and the ‘grow your own food’ movement.

Launched at ArtScience Museum in Singapore and now on tour with City Sprouts at our various events, Sky Farm Island encourages children to explore and appreciate the natural world. By simulating real-life gardening experiences, it inspires kids to step outside and engage in outdoor activities, fostering a connection with the environment and instilling a sense of responsibility towards our planet.

About
Sky Farm Island is the world’s first Roblox game that teaches players about sustainable farming. It is the latest in a series of games that use the Roblox platform to educate and inspire players. The game is set in the ‘Garden City’ of Singapore where players can build and manage a vertical farm, using hydroponics and aquaponics, to grow crops without soil.
Sky Farm Island is not just a game; it's a learning platform. The interactive gameplay aims to develop a healthy interest in eating Asian fruits and vegetables and inspire a love of gardening. It also features educational resources and a community of other farmers to collaborate with, making it a valuable tool for learning about the ‘grow-your-own-food’ movement.
Studies show that children who grow vegetables are five times more likely to eat them. The game hopes to push forward part of the Singapore government's '30 by 30' initiative, which aims to produce 30% of the country's nutritional needs by 2030. If successful, Sky Farm Island intends to inspire a new generation of city-dwelling kids who are committed to “making every city a garden city”.
The game was launched at ArtScience Museum in Singapore in September 2023 and has since been travelling around the island with our knowledge partners, urban community farm, City Sprouts. From our Little Red Dot to the world!
